An app for tracking the maintenance of cross-country ski trails
Our aim with the ‘White Trail of the Crown of the Vysočina’ app is to show visitors to the destination where the cross-country ski trails are currently groomed, where they can park, and what points of interest they will encounter along the route.
Organisations that maintain the cross-country ski trails in the destination are involved in the project. The app is designed for tourists planning a trip on the white trails in Koruna Vysočiny. The website uses winter maps from mapy.cz, which display GPX data from the GPS trackers fitted to the snowmobiles and snow groomers used to maintain the cross-country skiing trails.
