The gotobrno.cz web application serves as the official tourism portal of the city of Brno. It offers users an overview of cultural, sports, and social events, trip suggestions, information about landmarks, gastronomy, and accommodation. The application helps visitors and residents easily plan their leisure time, discover interesting places, and access up-to-date information about what’s happening in Brno, all in one place.
We use the Mapy.com API to display interactive maps within the gotobrno.cz portal. The maps are used to show the locations of tourist attractions and cultural events for visitors to the city. We chose the Mapy.com API because of its high-quality geographic data, easy integration, and ability to customize the map display to meet user needs.
