Bobřík informatiky
A competition for primary and secondary school pupils
Bobřík informatiky is a subject-based competition designed to help develop computational thinking and introduce new approaches to IT in schools.
It is designed for bright pupils with an interest in technology. It is aimed at pupils from Year 3 of primary school right through to A-levels. The competition takes the form of an online test. It is held in schools, in computer rooms. Schools register for the competition and organise their own school round.
We use an API to display a map of the schools taking part in the competition; see https://ibobr.cz/mapa2/. Thanks to this API, teachers enter their school’s location when registering. We chose this interface because it is clear and easy to understand for users, and simple for developers to implement.
