A comprehensive system for managing civil protection operations
This is an internal web and mobile application designed to manage all operations of the Czech Mountain Rescue Service. It handles duty rosters, the availability of individual rescuers and rescue equipment, an overview of individual calls, the allocation of rescuers to calls, and the actual course of operations, including the processing of incident reports. It also maintains a register of all members, including hours worked and equipment orders. Some data – such as weather, avalanches, etc. – is transferred to the Mountain Rescue Service’s public website.
The Mapy.cz API is used to display units and alerts on the map. The map is also used to organise and record search operations in the field. The map background is also used to summarise information from the field – e.g. icy surfaces, damaged pole markings, etc. The mobile app also uses offline maps for navigation in areas where there is no mobile signal.
