Encyclopaedia of 1,400 Settlements in the Czech Republic
An encyclopaedia of all the nearly 1,400 settlements in the Czech Republic that currently hold or have historically held the status of a town or market town (small town), including those that no longer exist. The main aim is to describe their urban development within the broadest possible landscape, historical, economic and demographic contexts. It is supplemented by a wealth of illustrations – maps, vedutas and photographs – both historical and contemporary.
