Na pivo - pub compass
A compass that points you to the nearest pub
Na pivo is a simple mobile app that works like a compass, pointing you to the nearest open pub, beer hall or brewery. Instead of a map it shows an arrow and the distance to the chosen venue. Either the closest one or a random pick for a surprise. It shows opening hours for each venue and beers on tap for some. The app is free and ad-free.
We use the Mapy.com REST API to find pubs, bars, beer halls and breweries near the user. Specifically the suggest function (/v1/suggest) with a preferred area around the current location. We chose Mapy.com for the highest-quality and most up-to-date place data in Czechia. Search results are cached server-side to keep credit usage low.
