A unique electronic database of nature trails
A unique electronic database of nature trails in Slovakia, containing not only descriptions and images of the trails but also reviews, descriptions of points of interest – particularly natural features – along the trails and in their surroundings, as well as suggestions for teachers on how to use this information about the countryside in their lessons. It is constantly updated and expanded to include new, emerging routes, including through collaboration with and suggestions from the proactive general public and experts.
In this project, we use the Mapy.cz API for interactive maps featuring points of interest and navigation. We chose it for its reliability, detailed data and ease of integration. We use all layers – Basic, Tourist, Winter and Aerial – ensuring accurate display of routes, ski areas and satellite imagery. The Mapy.cz API allows us to create a clear and intuitive map interface.
