Researchers’ Night
The website of the largest popularization event
Researchers’ Night is the largest science popularisation event in the Czech Republic. Its mission is to show people that science is not boring, but rather a source of fascinating facts and phenomena. Once a year, universities, scientific and research institutions, science centres and other venues across Europe open their doors to the public in the evening and at night, offering free and entertaining science programmes.
The general public who visits our event is accustomed to using Mapy.com services, which is why we decided to integrate these map backgrounds. Using map interfaces they are already familiar with, visitors can view an overview of locations across the entire Czech Republic where they can encounter science on the day of the event. We use the API to display maps of entire cities, participating organizations, or specific program items, helping visitors easily find the venue.
