Train passenger information system
The information system provides passengers on AŽD and Die Länderbahn CZ trains with details of the current timetable, the train’s position on the route and any delays. Information on fare zones is also provided. At major stations, information on connections to onward services is displayed. An integral part of the system is a screen displaying a map, where passengers can track the train’s location in real time, along with its immediate surroundings, including points of interest.
We chose the Mapy.cz tourist tiles because they are the clearest for passengers and show a large number of interesting destinations along the route. This decision is backed up by positive feedback from passengers.
