TrekPoint is an innovative platform that merges the real world with digital entertainment through engaging outdoor games. The app allows users to participate in unconventional scavenger hunts, city detective games, and adventure rallies. Thanks to intuitive navigation, players find hidden checkpoints, solve logic puzzles, and compete in real time. It is a perfect tool for active tourism, education, and team-building events.
In this project, we use the Mapy.com API as the foundation for our entire geolocation and navigation system. We chose this solution due to its exceptionally accurate map data, excellent rendering of tourist trails, and high reliability. The API is used to display interactive maps in the app, track player positioning, calculate routes to the next checkpoints (TrekPoints), and verify whether the user has reached the destination set by the game scenario.
