Turinka KČT
KČT app: diary, events and tips for day trips
Turinka KČT is an app by the Czech Tourist Club (KČT), the largest hiking organisation in the Czech Republic. Users keep a hiking diary with records of their trips and GPX routes, plan and discover events from the KČT calendar, and find tips for trips throughout the Czech Republic. The app is non-commercial and free for hikers.
Mapy.com provides the mapping foundation for the entire app: tiles (outdoor) in Leaflet for detailed views of events, day-trip suggestions, places and entries in the travel diary; the Static API for preview images of GPX routes; and Suggest for the location autocomplete feature when creating content. We chose them because of their tourist map featuring marked KČT routes and the best coverage of the Czech Republic.
